Oregon State Requirement Details for Broker Post-Licensing Real Estate Education
Hours Required by the State: 30 hours within two years by the last day of the licensee’s birth month
- 3 hours - Oregon Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC)
- 27 hours - Oregon Advanced Practices Course
Seat Time: The Oregon Real Estate Commission requires that all students spend a minimum amount of seat time engaged in the course content. Our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.

The CE Shop is an approved provider in Oregon.

Post-Licensing Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 75% and may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.
Reporting: The state does not require schools to report qualifying course completions.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after order date. Each course has an individual expiration date which is listed in your account.
Certificates: Once The CE Shop has received the signed affidavit, your certificate of course completion will become available to download (and via email). The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic certificate of completion, upon completion of the course. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies. Please refer to your license application to determine if you need to submit your certificate of completion with your license request. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date of your certificate of completion will reflect this.
In addition, real estate Brokers, Principal Brokers and Property Managers must keep their own education records. Keep all certificates for 3 years after the license renewal or reactivation date. The Agency randomly audits continuing education records. You are required to provide copies of the certificates of attendance to the Agency upon request.
License Renewal Process: The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew.
Post-Licensing:
- Property Managers renewing active for the first time must complete the 27-hour Property Management Advanced Practices (PMAP) course and the 3-hour LARRC course.
- Principal Brokers renewing active for the first time must complete the 27-hour Principal Broker Advanced Practices (PBAP) course and the 3-hour LARRC course.
Please contact the Oregon Real Estate Agency for more information regarding these courses. The CE Shop does not offer the Property Manager or Principal Broker Post-Licensing course at this time.
