Learn about the New Hampshire education requirements for real estate licensing and renewal.
Licensing Board/Commission: Office of Professional Licensure and Certification – NH Real Estate Commission
New Hampshire Real Estate Education Requirements:
- New Hampshire real estate salesperson license: 40 hours of pre-licensing education (of these, no more than 8 hours may be distance education)
- New Hampshire real estate broker license: 60 hours of pre-licensing education
Many students take advantage of exam prep tailored for their state, to give them a higher chance of passing.
New Hampshire State Reciprocity:
Real estate commissions and boards across the country are adopting policies for a real estate agent in one state to more easily become licensed in another state.
If an out-of-state licensee who applies for a New Hampshire salesperson license holds an active real estate license in good standing, they may apply for a New Hampshire license, taking only the New Hampshire portion of the license exam.
For more information on reciprocity, view our complete guide.
New Hampshire Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) and License Renewal Requirements:
- Real estate professionals in New Hampshire need to renew their licenses every two years from the date their licenses were issued
- Licensees must take 15 hours of real estate CE classes, including 12 hours of electives and 3 hours of core courses
