Maryland Real Estate License Requirements:
- Maryland real estate salesperson license in the state of Maryland: 60 hours
- Maryland real estate broker license in the state of Maryland: N/A
Maryland State Reciprocity:
Real estate commissions and boards across the country are adopting policies for a real estate agent in one state to more easily become licensed in another state.
Maryland has reciprocal relationships with Pennsylvania and Oklahoma, but applicants from all other states can send in their history to be considered for reciprocity.
Maryland Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) and License Renewal Requirements:
- Real estate professionals in Maryland, including both salespersons and associate brokers, must take 15 hours of continuing education classes in order to renew their real estate licenses
- These 15 hours of real estate CE include 3 hours on agency, 3 hours on legislative updates, 1.5 hours on fair housing, 3 hours on ethics and 4.5 hours of electives (ensuring that elective courses taken are never duplicated from year to year)
